WWilsons on Moosehead Lake reporting: So much to report!  There are many exciting things going on here at Wilsons Camps on Moosehead Lake.  We are in the midst of an absolutely beautiful spring. Fresh new snow, lots of ice left, downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing.  Snowmobile trails are freshened up to keep the riding going! Area groomers are out doing their thing and the trails look awesome!

Animal sightings are abundant!  We have quite a crew of deer living in and about our driveway! They are amazing to watch and photograph.  We also have a mink (I think!) living around the docks and wandering around the camps!

We have gone Wi-Fi!!!! We now have a broadband system offering wireless Internet to our guests and all of the cabins.  We upgraded the system, so it now reaches every one staying here and is password protected!   We also have set up more cabins with satellite TVs.  The winter cabins (excluding our 2 smallest) now ALL have TV!  Never thought it would be that popular here in the North Woods, but it has become that way…so we aim to please!

Attention Fishermen:  Ice fishing is open until the 31st of March.  Ice shacks are still out and folks are enjoying these long beautiful days and having great luck!

The East Outlet is now open all year for fly-fishing only! The River is catch and release only until May 1st.  Walk right out your cottage door over to the Kennebec River for some of the best fly-fishing!  Give us a call at 1-800-817-2549 to make your reservation!  

Hunters:  Rabbit hunting continues through the end March.  We have fall hunting packages that range from lodging only to complete guided packages with meals.  Plan ahead for grouse, woodcock, moose and deer hunting.  This past year we had great conditions for hunting adventures!  I’m proud to say my middle man and husband both filled their deer tags this year.  We had great grouse and woodcock hunting, and are eating well again this winter!

The Moosehead Lake Region is full of great family activities year round!  Don’t miss the great events- Visit www.mooseheadlake.org for full calendar.  The area offers hiking, biking, boating, fishing, and wildlife viewing.  You can’t beat the Moosehead air and scenery.

	Wow! Check out this 12+ pound cusk caught nearby in February, 2013!
	We've got happy campers here at Wilsons on Moosehead Lake. Check out this togue caught Sunday Feb. 25th, 2007 weighing in at 10 pounds and is 32 1/2 inches long. Of course, it was caught at an 'undisclosed location' on Moosehead Lake.
