Moosehead Lake Ice Out MoutainsFall is here! Foliage just past its peak conditions in the Moosehead Lake Region, with beautiful views still to be had. With temperatures dropping off at night the wildlife is becoming more and more abundant! Bird hunting season started October 1st and so far has proven to be very successful! Spend a crisp October morning hunting with one of our Registered Maine Guides behind a pointer, or take to the dirt roads in search of a few partridge catching the first rays of sunlight. After a morning of hunting hop in one of our drift boats with our guides and go catch some beautiful spawning salmon and brook trout, making your day a true cast and blast!

Attention Fisherman: THINK BRIGHT! A recent bump in water to 3900 cfs that has now dropped to a very fishable 1050 cfs brought in an abundance of salmon and brook trout to spawn. October fishing can be frustrating, as there is no saying what fly will work best on any given day, but the rewards can be HUGE with all of the mature fish in the river. Your best bet to entice one of these trophy spawning fish is to use bright attractor patterns. Whether your streamer fishing or nymphing, bright colors such as red, orange, and pink, will convince an aggressive fish to strike! Walk right out of you cottage door and over to the river to experience some of the best trout and salmon fishing in the world! For daily water releases please call 1-800-557-3569 or give us a call at 1-800-817-2549!

We still have openings in our lakefront cottages! Send us an email or give us a call for availability at 1-800-817-2549. We look forward to seeing you real soon.

Come see why folks say we have ‘Moosehead’s Million Dollar View!’
The perfect place to do everything . . . or nothing at all!
